Yesterday afternoon, the Mister and I went to Le Pain Quotidien (Daily Bread) after class. There’s one three blocks down from my school and I’ve walked by it countless times and never actually went inside until yesterday. Le Pain Quotidien is an international Belgian café chain. The menu features everything from plain croissants to eggs to soups and other Belgian favorites in between.
What I liked most about the café is the huge communal wooden table in the middle of the floor. This allows for friends and strangers alike to sit and enjoy some “Pain” together.
I ordered a cappuccino and a pain au chocolat. Both were delicious. The pastry was buttery, flakey and super-fresh – just the way it should be.
I can definitely see myself spending many a Friday afternoon at this place : )

The place sounds wonderful, and so does the pain au chocolat. Haven't learned how to make that yet ;)
Sasha, this sounds like my kind of place. And the pain au chocolat looks amazing, too.
You'll have to check out my past post on making your own pain au chocolats.
What a lovely "pain."
I'm sure I'll be running into you at this:

I've been to this place only once when I was in belgium and had a really nice sandwich. Got to try the ones in London.
Hope you are having a fab weekend daaaaaaahling!
