I knew that at some point during our stay in Boston I'd have to eat clam chowder. I was not particularly excited about it as I despise shellfish. But being in Boston and all, I felt I was obligated to. After some brief research, we decided to go to Legal Sea Foods. I ordered the chowder...
With optimism in my head and a spoon in my hand, I was prepared to conquer this dish. Once and for all.
As expected, I did not enjoy the soup. I can admit that it was well-prepared but clams are just not my thing. The lobster bisque didn't suit my palate either. Alen enjoyed both options though.
On the bright side, their sangria was delicious ; )
Coincidentally, our hotel happened to be a two-minute walk from Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Faneuil Hall Marketplace is about a 5-block area full of bars, restaurants, shopping and street performers. Quincy Market was one of the buildings there...

Both soups have me drooling - I wish I could have had your chowder, it looks so creamy. The desserts also look tasty.
What a fun looking market with yummy treats. Very cute picture of you.
*kisses* HH
are those turtle bars at the bottom, or something else? looks good either way.
I think most folks do not realize how amazing Boston is for cuisine! Quincy Market is one of the best food markets in the world! Glad you are enjoying yourself!
So apart from the soups, you had a ball. Good on you. Love the last photo of the chocolate pecan bites......my thing 100%
Faneuil Market is such fun! I love going there too.
However, I don't think Legal Seafood is the right place to test Clam Chowder. It's a chain and while the food is fine, it does not have the best chowder. Don't give up! There are lots of places that serve marvelous chowder.
looks like you got some great goodies in boston! yum!
